Fallon Health presents Community Impact Award to Andrew Venuti of Sutton

Award recognizes Fallon’s ongoing commitment to volunteerism

Worcester, Mass., March 5, 2018 — Fallon Health, a mission-based, community-focused not-for-profit health care services organization, is proud to present its inaugural Community Impact Award to Sutton resident Andrew Venuti, Business Intelligence Data Services Lead.

Venuti was chosen among hundreds of volunteers at Fallon, who logged thousands of hours of community service last year.

“We’re fortunate to have many dedicated employees who work hands-on in the communities we serve to address health care challenges for those at risk,” said Richard Burke, President and CEO of Fallon Health. “Andy stands out among the hardworking volunteers who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to Fallon and our mission of making our communities healthy.”

Fallon’s Community Impact Award recognizes excellence in one or more of the following five ways:

Through volunteering, contributing significantly to improving the quality of life for others through hands-on work

  • Engaging volunteers in an innovative and creative style
  • Exemplifying inspirational leadership and initiative through teaching, coaching, organizing, serving on boards and committees and/or other leadership roles within the community
  • Acting courageously and performing in an outstanding manner in an emergency situation
  • Demonstrating an overall extraordinary commitment to volunteering, creating a lasting impression on our community

Venuti has participated in numerous Fallon initiatives over his five-and-a-half years, including building and stocking food pantries in local schools and organizations, United Way’s Day of Caring, Fallon’s Golf & Gather FORE a Cause and Working for Worcester.

This past year, Venuti, with the help of colleague Sue Keller, organized a hunger relief  effort to engage fellow co-workers with Fallon’s Feed-a-Family program, which delivers bags of food to families in need for the holidays.

Collectively, Venuti and Keller coordinated 160 bags of food including shopping, assembling them with a team of co-workers and preparing them for distribution in the Berkshires, Lowell, Springfield and Worcester.

“I feel grateful to be recognized for my efforts,” Andy Venuti said about hearing he was the first recipient of this honor. “Fallon makes it easy to get involved and give back. While I’m not the best planner–I am a great participator, and Fallon gives me opportunities that encourage me to get out and do more.”
