FCHP becomes state’s first health plan to offer cash wellness reward as standard benefit

“Healthy Health Plan” rewards members with as much as $200 for being or becoming healthy

Worcester, Mass., March 25, 2013 ―Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, today announced that it will offer a plan that provides as much as $200 in cash to subscribers who are or become healthy. Called the “Healthy Health Plan,” it is the first plan in Massachusetts that includes such a cash reward as a standard benefit.

The program will be available beginning April 1, upon enrollment anniversary, and will be offered as part of the standard benefit with all FCHP commercial plans available to individuals and employer groups of all sizes.

The Healthy Health Plan is easy to use: adult health plan subscribers* visit fchp.org/healthyhealthplan, fill out the health assessment and receive $50. From there, subscribers can choose to participate in a customized health action plan that may include health coaching, wellness workshops, interactive tools and more to earn an additional $150.

The Healthy Health Plan also offers incentives that contribute to lifelong good health: meal planning and over 25 exercise/fitness plans (members can also create their own, including Beginner Walker, Boot Camp Fitness, Get Fit for Golf and Skier Conditioning. The plan also offers a Wellness Blog and Member Forum for social networking and interactive discussions, as well as the ability to search out a “diet buddy.” There is unlimited access to real time reports on your progress.

The Healthy Health Plan is the newest addition to FCHP’s innovative wellness programs, which also include “It Fits!”, “Oh Baby!”, “Quit to Win,” and our disease and case management programs.
