Fallon Community Health Plan appoints Phil A. Benvenuti to Senior Director of Internal Audit

Worcester, Mass., May 19, 2010—Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, announces the appointment of Phil A. Benvenuti to Senior Director of Internal Audit. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit function, fraud investigations and Model Audit Rule compliance. Benvenuti previously served as Director of Internal Audit at the health plan.

Prior to coming to FCHP, Benvenuti held various positions in internal audit and fraud investigation at Hanover Insurance in Worcester, Mass. He also managed the Internal Audit and Fraud Detection Group at Sansiveri, Kimball & McNamee, LLP, a public accounting and business consulting firm in Providence, Rhode Island.

A Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner, Benvenuti is also the current President of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

A resident of Auburn, Mass., Benvenuti received a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., and is currently a candidate for a master’s degree in business administration at the college.
