Fallon Community Health Plan announces new agreement with Holyoke Medical Center
Effective January 1, 2012, Holyoke Medical Center will provide inpatient and outpatient services to members of FCHP’s Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan, NaviCare® HMO SNP and NaviCare SCO, a Senior Care Options program.

FCHP reported net income of $12.2 million on revenue of $291 million for the third quarter that ended September 30, 2011.

FCHP to distribute more than $150,000 to hunger relief programs
FCHP will distribute more than $150,000 to dozens of food pantries and hunger relief programs throughout Massachusetts. The donations represent the total net proceeds from FCHP’s annual fundraising event held in September.

Fallon Community Health Plan employees “pay it forward”
Each year, since 2007, FCHP randomly selects 30 employees, giving each person $500 to donate to a charitable organization or cause of their own choosing. The "Pay It Forward" program continues this year with the listed employees and their organizations of choice.

FCHP awarded more than $100,000 in grants to support innovative, community-based programs aimed at improving access to good nutrition and promoting physical activity; providing health and social services for seniors; or preventive health and social services for children during the first five years of life.

FCHP ranked #1 Medicaid health plan in America
Fallon Community Health Plan is the #1 Medicaid health plan in the country according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Rankings, 2011-2012. This is the fourth time in the past five years that FCHP has achieved this distinction.

Fallon Community Health Plan reports second quarter financial results
FCHP reported a net income of $13.6 million on revenue of $289 million for the second quarter that ended June 30, 2011. Net income includes investment income of $5.2 million and operating income of $8.4 million. For the same quarter last year, FCHP posted a net loss of $12.8 million on revenue of $283.8 million.

Road race to celebrate Worcester’s Canal District
The fifth annual Fallon Community Health Plan Canal Diggers 5Km Road Race and one-mile fun run and fitness walk will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2011. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Foundation. The race is open to all runners, joggers, and walkers, with the start and finish line located at the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Centre, 19 Temple St., Worcester.

FCHP donated $10,000 to American Red Cross for tornado relief
FCHP announced its $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support the relief and recovery efforts in Western and Central Massachusetts, areas of the Commonwealth that were most significantly impacted by last week’s tornadoes.
