Since joining Fallon Community Health Plan in 1998, Richard Burke has held several senior management roles overseeing government and regulatory affairs, corporate compliance and several operational departments.

In his current role, Burke is responsible for leading FCHP’s diversification into the senior care market. He oversees the FCHP-sponsored Summit ElderCare, a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly that has expanded to several sites and more than 700 participants in Central Mass., and NaviCare HMO, FCHP’s Senior Care Options program. Additionally, he is responsible for FCHP’s contract management for its Medicare Advantage and MassHealth insurance products, as well its government affairs. He led the company’s acquisition in 2008 of Home Staff LLC, an FCHP joint venture with the VNA CareNetwork.

Before joining FCHP, Burke served as Vice President of Public Affairs at Assumption College in Worcester. He also previously held the position of Director of Research for Massachusetts State Senator Arthur Chase.

Burke serves as board President of the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging. In addition, he serves on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, Inc., and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

A summa cum laude graduate of Assumption College, Burke holds a master’s degree in political science from Boston College and a master’s in business administration from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. 

He lives in Worcester with his wife and children.
