Elizabeth C. Malko, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
Elizabeth C. Malko, M.D., M. Eng., F.A.A.F.P., joined Fallon Community Health Plan in 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. She is responsible for ensuring the appropriateness, quality and cost-effectiveness of the health care services received by all FCHP members.
She brings to this role a passion for improving access to high-quality, affordable health care. She believes strongly that FCHP can and should make a difference in the lives of its members and its community. She strives to deliver solutions for members that allow them to optimize their health and live life to the fullest.
As CMO, Dr. Malko also is focused on further strengthening the health plan’s relationships and collaborative efforts with health care providers throughout FCHP’s service area. As a provider, she knows that each patient has unique needs and she strives to ensure that FHCP works closely with its provider community to deliver, every day, the right solution to each member.
Dr. Malko previously was the East Regional Medical Director for State Sponsored Business at Anthem/WellPoint, Inc. She also served as Medical Director for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New Hampshire and Connecticut. She has provided extensive direction and leadership in medical and pharmaceutical management, quality of care initiatives and disease state management.
She received a doctorate in medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and a master’s degree in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A member of the American Academy of Physician Executives and the American Academy of Family Physicians, she has previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She currently serves on the board of directors of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts.
Dr. Malko resides in Shrewsbury with her husband and two children.
