Open enrollment - an important change!
As of December 1, 2010, individuals can buy insurance only during an open enrollment period. The next open enrollment period is July 1 through August 15, 2012. There are some exceptions to the rule. For example, if you had coverage but lost it, you may be allowed to buy insurance outside of an open enrollment period.
