Fallon Community Health Plan appoints Patrick W. Donahue to Senior Director of Network Development and Contracting
Worcester, Mass., May 2, 2008― Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), a nationally recognized health care services organization, is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick W. Donahue to Senior Director of Network Development and Contracting. In this position, Donahue will manage the expansion of the FCHP provider network of physicians, hospitals and ancillary health providers.
Donahue comes to FCHP with more than 32 years of experience in health care administration and health finance, and has previously held management positions at both health plans and hospitals.
Most recently, Donahue worked for the Caritas Christi Health Care system where he served as Corporate Director of Managed Care. In this role, Donahue managed all contracting and reimbursement activity for the six hospital Caritas system and all relations with health plans. He also was responsible for implementing contractual terms at the Caritas hospitals and served as the company’s designated troubleshooter for all government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid replacement programs.
He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance and business operations, and a master’s degree in business administration. He is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
A resident of New Bedford, Mass., and Worcester, Mass., Donahue has two grown sons and one grandchild.
