Fallon Community Health Plan expands Fallon Senior Plan network to include UMass Memorial doctors and hospitals

Worcester, Mass., December 1, 2009—Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP) a not-for-profit health care services organization, today announced effective January 1, 2010, Fallon Senior Plan™ HMO members will have access to more than 1,000 UMass Memorial specialists and primary care physicians, and UMass Memorial Medical Center and its community hospitals, including Clinton Hospital, Marlborough Hospital and Wing Memorial Hospital & Medical Center. The Fallon Senior Plan HMO network also includes Fallon Clinic, Central Mass. IPA, Heywood PHO, QuabbinCare IPA and Hampden County Physician Associates and their affiliates.

UMass Memorial Health Care is the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts, and is the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The health care system includes home health and hospice programs, behavioral health programs, ground and air ambulance services, and community-based physician
practices. UMass Memorial provides the region with specialists nationally-acclaimed for their work in the areas of cardiology, orthopedics, cancer, newborn intensive care, children’s and women’s services, and emergency medicine and offers the region’s only Level One Trauma Center.
