Fallon Community Health Plan appoints Seth M. Lewin, M.D., to Senior Medical Director
Worcester, Mass., November 17, 2008― Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), a nationally recognized health care services organization, is pleased to announce the appointment of Seth M. Lewin, M.D., to Senior Medical Director. In this position, Dr. Lewin will be responsible for the health plan’s utilization and care management areas, and quality programs. He will oversee member relations for FCHP and also work to strengthen the relationships FCHP has with contracted providers.
Dr. Lewin comes to FCHP from Alicare Medical Management, Inc., where he served as corporate medical director, providing complete oversight of all clinical programs. He has also served as a senior clinical consultant for McKesson, Inc., a medical operations consultant at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and a clinical resource consultant for the CMS Program Safeguard Contractor at Safeguard, LLC, a division of Electronic Data Systems, Inc.
Dr. Lewin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, and received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed residency programs in medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital, and in ambulatory medicine at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society.
He resides in Needham, Mass., with his wife, Lynn. They have two grown daughters and one grandchild, who all live in the greater Boston area.
