Fallon Community Health Plan appoints Kate C. McEvoy-Zdonczyk to Senior Director of Government and Community Relations
Worcester, Mass., November 25, 2008― Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP), a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate C. McEvoy-Zdonczyk to Senior Director of Government and Community Relations. In this position, McEvoy-Zdonczyk will support FCHP’s government relations by evaluating legislative strategies to effectively advocate for FCHP with elected officials, trade organizations and other resources, and will also manage all community relations projects, philanthropic activities and special events.
McEvoy-Zdonczyk came to FCHP in 2002, and previously held the position of Director of Government and Community Relations. Before coming to FCHP, she served as Senior Accounts Manager for Worcester Publishing, Ltd.
In addition to her role at FCHP, McEvoy-Zdonczyk is an active volunteer whose work supports many community and non-profit organizations. She serves as clerk on the board of directors for Destination Worcester, is a member of the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, serves on the marketing committee for the American Red Cross, and is a member of the Worcester State College Alumni Advisory Board, as well as the Auburn Democratic Town Committee and the Worcester County Democratic League.
McEvoy-Zdonczyk is a graduate of Worcester State College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and English. She has been recognized by the Worcester Business Journal as a “Forty under 40,” recipient, and was named one of Pulse Magazine’s “25 to watch in 2005.”
She resides in Auburn, with her husband, Gary.
